Château Carbonnieux, with its origins dating back to the 13th century, witnessed ownership transitions across several families over the subsequent six centuries. A significant chapter in the château`s modern history unfolded in the mid-1900s when it was acquired by the Perrin family. Around that time, both the red and white wines of Château Carbonnieux received the distinguished classification of Grand Cru Classé de Graves in 1959. The 2000 vintage in Bordeaux stood out for its generous crop production and exceptional quality. The wines produced that year were characterized by their opulence, robust tannic structure, and deeply saturated hues. It is widely regarded as the most remarkable vintage since 1990, literally across all corners of Bordeaux.
