Merchant's description

Château Caronne Ste Gemme 2005 is a full-bodied Cru Bourgeois red wine from the Haut-Médoc region of Bordeaux. Caronne Ste Gemme is a well-appointed Cru Bourgeois property neighbouring Château Gruaud-Larose and Château Lascombes on Bordeaux`s Left Bank. The wines of this property offers excellent value for money and those of prime vintages, such as 2005, should be sought out. "Space limitations did not allow complete tasting notes for this Cru Bourgeois, but 2005 is the finest vintage for these wines since 1982. The range of scores for these wines should give readers an idea of just how consistent this vintage is at this level. Given the style of the vintage, most of these wines should be accessible young yet evolve for a decade or more because of their concentration and tannic structure." Robert Parker, 2006
