Domaine du Clos des Fées is the Roussillon winemaking project of former Parisian sommelier, restaurateur and wine writer, Hervé Bizeul. What initially started as a hobby in the late 90s rapidly became an all-consuming obsession and Hervé now produces some of the most acclaimed wines in the region. The Grenache Blanc Vieilles Vignes is a blend of 90% Grenache Blanc and 10% Grenache Gris from century-old vines in the Côtes Catalanes sub-region. The 2018 is beautiful release of exuberant richness but powerful drive. It unwinds on the palate with notes of stone fruits, tangerine, citrus zest, wild herbs and steely minerality. A sensational food wine, this is the perfect match for meaty white fish.
