Established in 1920 by Damien Livera`s great-grandfather, this 8.5-hectare domaine underwent a significant transformation under Damien`s management from 2007 onward. Previously, the grapes from old vines [planted in the 1950s and 1960s] were supplied to large Beaune négociants, but a shift towards low yields, a stringent form of lutte raisonée, and the elimination of herbicides marked the domaine`s rejuvenation. This wine, a blend from two estate-owned plots in Fixin, exhibits enticing aromas of plum, black pepper, and liquorice on the nose, delivering a deep, mineral, and fruity palate.
