Drink it now or cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant. Located in the southwestern area of the beautiful island of Kefalonia, the Sarris winery was founded by Panos Sarris. After a long and successful career as a sommelier and a significant entrepreneurial experience with his own restaurant, on one of the stunning beaches of the island, Panos has decided to devote himself to the production of natural wine. The 100% Vostilidi grapes have been carefully selected from a vineyard in Lixouri, near Vatsa beach. The wine was spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts in inox vats and then left to mature for 9 months in oak casks. It is produced in small quantities and in the most natural way possible, and it’s not filtered. The V for Vostilidi has an intense golden color with some orange hues. On the nose, it shows a remarkable concentration of aromas: honey, candied papaya, orange jam, vanilla and dried apricot. On the palate, the wine is intense with an initial slight sweet note, followed by surprising acidity and a tannic mouthfeel. It has a good body and a pleasant and long aftertaste. A Greek orange wine. Try it with quail, mushroom risotto, or rich fish preparations.
