Catena Alta Malbec 2009 is a complex representation of Argentine Malbec, sourced from high-altitude vineyards. Nicolás Catena`s commitment to elevating Argentine wine is evident, having pioneered the cultivation of Malbec in Mendoza. This vintage combines fruit from Lot 18 of the Angélica vineyard, Lot 4 of La Pirámide, Lot 1 of Nicasia, and Lot 3 & 9 of Adrianna. The vinification process includes selective harvesting for optimal acidity, with whole berries fermented in small bins, lasting 10-35 days. The wine matures for 18 months in French oak.
