Merchant's description

Enjoy it now, or cellar for a few years. No need to decant before serving. This is one of New Zealand’s finest and most emblematic Sauvignon Blanc wines. It is bursting with aromas of intense citrus, ground herbs and juicy tropical fruits. It is classic Marlborough through and through, exhibiting a pale golden colour in the glass. A wonderful, approachable white wine for any occasion. Kim Crawford was founded in 1996, in a small cottage on the outskirts of Auckland. In 2000, the founders embarked on Marlborough, New Zealand’s greatest wine region and the home place of Kim Crawford’s state-of-the-art winery. “Focus on flavour” is the winery’s motto, and it is certainly evident throughout their range of delicious cool climate wines, spearheaded by chief winemaker, Dave Edmonds. Sauvignon Blanc is Kim Crawford’s staple. It is a crisp, vibrant wine, with surprising density on the palate. Ripe notes of melon, passion fruit, gooseberry and grapefruit explode on the tongue, with an intense undercurrent of acidity. On the lingering finish, you can also discover hints of fresh herbs and minerality. It is a deeply satisfying experience and an excellent wine for pairing with food. Consider matching it with oysters, white fish, or a summery salad.
