Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. It is recommended to decant it for half an hour. The Klet Brda wine cooperative is the largest producer in the Goriska Brda region in Slovenia, and brings together around 400 growers. The first harvest was in 1957 and the cellar is located in Dobrovo Castle. Here, in this splendid hilly region, on the border with Italy, the white grape varieties such as Ribolla and Sauvignonasse can benefit from the fresh sea breezes and a soil rich in minerals. The wine is a blend of Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia and Sauvignonasse grapes. The grapes, coming from vineyards aged between 15 and 30 years, are macerated for a year, then fermented and matured separately. The result is a complex and well-structured orange wine that can be enjoyed now or left to age for a few years in the cellar. Krasno Orange has a bright copper color with light amber reflections. On the nose, its aromatic profile is harmonious, rich and complex with notes of ripe pear and quince, hints of Mediterranean herbs, citrus and toasted almonds. On the palate it is well structured, broad and elegant with delicate tannins, due to the long maceration, and a strong mineral vein. The finish is long and persistent. Try it with Asian recipes based on chicken and fish.
