Klet Brda is a large Slovenian winemaking cooperative that brings together approximately 400 families and is the largest producer and exporter of Slovenian wines. The company is located in the Goriška Brda region, bordering Italy, in a breathtakingly beautiful setting characterized by sun-kissed terraced slopes. Each family typically cultivates approximately two to three hectares of land, where work is done manually, and knowledge has been passed down from generation to generation. The Krasno line pays homage to the homonymous hilltop village, surrounded by steep, sunny slopes covered in beautiful terraced vineyards. The Ribolla Gialla (Rebula in Slovenian) grapes are selected from these vineyards, cultivated according to sustainable production principles. After harvesting, a brief cold maceration, and fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in large oak barrels, before bottling. In the glass, Klet Brda Krasno Rebula reveals an intense yellow color with bright golden highlights. Its aromatic profile is fresh and elegant, with notes of citrus and quince intertwined with hints of cedar and vanilla. On the palate, it is fresh, lively, and balanced, with bright acidity and a long, harmonious finish. It makes an elegant aperitif, but to enjoy it at its best, try it with seafood and white fish, or with pea risotto.
