The Marbury Chardonnay 2023 is the inaugural still wine release from Jackson Family Wines` English venture, sourced from the Crouch Valley in Essex. This wine, crafted by winemaker Charlie Holland, is a 100% Chardonnay made from grapes grown on London Clay soils in one of England`s driest and warmest microclimates. The wine is whole-bunch pressed, barrel-fermented and aged on lees for 10 months in French oak, with only 15% new oak. It presents a bright, elegant profile, combining an aromatic nose of ripe citrus and apple blossom with subtle notes of brioche and toasted hazelnut. The palate is full yet fresh, offering concentrated orchard fruit and orange zest, supported by racy acidity and a zesty, mineral-driven finish.
