Merchant's description

Aalto PS 2014 is a Ribera del Duero red wine, crafted from Tempranillo grapes sourced mainly from old vineyards across selected plots. This cuvée, known as Pagos Seleccionados, reflects the complexity and depth of the region’s terroir, predominantly showcasing the character of La Horra. Established in 1999 by Javier Zaccagnini and Mariano Garcia, Aalto has gained a reputation for producing refined wines through careful parcel-by-parcel vinification. In the cellar, fermentation and ageing occur in French oak barriques for approximately 16-18 months, resulting in a wine with structured tannins and expressive fruit profiles. Aalto’s vineyards average 40-80 years, contributing to the wine’s concentrated character.
