Drink it now or cellar for up to 20 years. It is recommended to decant it for one hour. The Bodega Achavàl-Ferrer project came to life thanks to the idea of six friends, Argentines and Italians, who in 1998, decided to join forces to carry out a common goal: to produce quality wines, capable of expressing the characteristics of the territory of origin as faithfully as possible. The company is located at the foot of the Andes mountain range, in the Argentine province of Mendoza. The various cultivation plots are treated like many small terroirs. In the vineyard, all agronomic choices are adopted with the utmost respect for the balance of the environment, nature, ecosystem, and biodiversity. The goal is always to get to harvest healthy, rich, and concentrated grapes in every organoleptic nuance. The grapes for this Malbec come from 80-year-old plants that live in the silence and tranquility of the Tunuyan peaks. The wine ages for one year in French oak. This is a wine with character, energetic, and powerful. The color is a beautiful ruby red. The nose is complex and elegant, rich in aromas of blackberries, ripe blueberries and black plums, embellished with notes of coffee, tobacco, leather and spices, with a gentle woody note to complete the whole. On the palate, it is dense and consistent, with a refined tannic texture, fresh, and long persistence. Try it with Argentine Angus steaks.
