Amarone Classico Bertani 1997 is a mature Amarone from the esteemed Bertani estate, renowned for its traditional winemaking in the Valpolicella region. The grapes originate from the Tenuta Novare vineyards, situated in Arbizzano di Negrar, characterised by calcareous-marl soils. This vintage displays a deep garnet hue and presents complex aromas of ripe plums, cherries and herbal notes, alongside subtle hints of chocolate and dried fruits. The palate is structured, showcasing velvety tannins, balanced by notable acidity. After harvest, the wine matured for seven years in Slavonian oak, followed by a further period in bottle prior to release.
