Merchant's description

Amarone Classico 1985 is a mature Corvina-dominant blend from the late Giuseppe Quintarelli, produced in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone. This historic release preceded the establishment of the DOCG, but it embodies the highest tier of artisanal production with its four-month appassimento period and seven years of ageing in large Slavonian botti. The blend includes 55% Corvina, 25% Rondinella and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, which adds a structural backbone rarely found in traditional Amarone. This legendary vintage provides a profile of dried cherries, bitter chocolate and liquorice, supported by a remarkable freshness that has preserved its vibrancy for decades.
