Barolo Riserva Runcot Elio Grasso 2010 is a Nebbiolo red wine from the Piedmont region. The vineyard features limestone-rich soils that impart a piercing mineral character and significant structural tension to the wine. It displays a powerful profile of dried rose petals, tar, leather and cherry, supported by a dense, full-bodied mouthfeel driven by an extract-rich structure. The Runcot vineyard is planted on a very steep, south-facing slope that forces the vines to struggle, and it is here that Elio Grasso pioneered the use of specific clonal selections of Nebbiolo to achieve a more aromatic, floral profile.
