Merchant's description

Domaine de la Vougeraie is one of Burgundy’s leading producers, with nearly 40 hectares of vineyard and over 30 different appellations, including six grand crus. The estate was formed in 1999 when wine entrepreneur Jean-Claude Boisset decided to consolidate all the vineyard holdings of his various négociant companies acquired over the years. The 2019 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru comes from three plots totalling 0.4 hectares, including one that has 70-year-old vines. It`s a rich and opulent wine, featuring notes of ripe apples, toasted hazelnuts, orange peel and some anise.
