Domaine Joseph Drouhin Batard-Montrachet 2001 is a mature-vintage, full-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Grand Cru of Bâtard-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. Joseph Drouhin is one of the most respected names in Burgundy. An owner of domaines including Domaine Marquis de Laguiche and the monopole of Clos des Mouches, as well as operating a hugely successful negociant business, the family-owned Drouhin is justly respected for producing such a diverse portfolio of Burgundy wines with such a clear signature of their terroir. Veronique Drouhin notes that the 2001 white vintage shows similarities to 2000, with wines exhibiting fruitiness and good acidity.
