The 2016 Bell Hill Chardonnay hails from the unique limestone-rich soils of North Canterbury, New Zealand. Bell Hill`s vineyard, established in an old lime quarry, totals 2 hectares, planted at high density with both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Chardonnay is a blend of fruit from their Shelf and Limeworks blocks, known for their distinct calcareous and clay-limestone soils. This vintage is praised for its power and elegance, offering intense aromas of peach, grilled hazelnuts and flint, with a palate of stone fruit, yellow citrus and a chalky, mineral drive, reflecting a warm, dry growing season.
