Billecart-Salmon Cuvée Nicolas-Francois is a vintage, prestige-cuvée Champagne produced by Champagne Billecart-Salmon. This renowned Champagne House cultivates an estate of 100 hectares and obtains grapes from around 300 hectares across 40 crus of the Champagne region, spanning the vineyards of the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne and the Côte des Blancs. Cuvée Nicolas François was created in 1964 as a tribute to the House’s founder. It is a blend of around 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir, 83% from Grands Crus and 17% from Premiers Crus. Vinified, partially in traditional oak casks then given extended lees aging, this wine is a testament to the wine making and vineyards, giving great longevity. Now reaching full maturity the wine shows notes of butterscotch, cream and lemon citrus tart.
