With a long history going back to the 15th century, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is one of the finest producers in the Côte de Nuits. The estate is currently led by the sisters Comtesse Claire de Causans and Marie de Ladoucette, with Jean Lupatelli as chef de cave. This cuvée comes from the Grand Cru Bonnes-Mares, where the family owns a 2.67-hectare plot. Burgundy enjoyed an outstanding 2003 vintage and this particular release is in a great spot right now.
