Château Bourgneuf is located on the western side of Pomerol and is generally considered exceptionally consistent in quality with good concentration and excellent ageing potential. The 2017 is a typical blend of 90% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Franc and is a superb follow-up to the brilliant 2016. It is deep, rich and concentrated with notes of dark plums, blackcurrant, earth, dark chocolate and wild herbs. Medium-bodied, silky textured and with wonderful freshness, this a wonderful release with a fine life ahead of it.
