Merchant's description
Château Boyd-Cantenac is an old Margaux estate, owned and run by the Guillemet family since 1932. The wines are aged for about two years in oak barrels and vats before being bottled. This 2008 vintage is a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc. It is now very approachable, revealing notes of ripe plums, blackcurrants, dark chocolate, coffee and tobacco. Tannins are robust but smooth.
