Brunello di Montalcino Soldera 1994
Brunello di Montalcino Soldera 1994 is a dry, full-bodied red from Sangiovese (Brunello di Montalcino, Italy), in the full, structured reds style. Tannins are very firm and acidity fresh; oak influence is some. Those scales describe the wine when young; this is a 32-year-old bottle and its tannin and oak will have softened. Good with steak, lamb, venison, cheese board.

Soldera’s Brunello di Montalcino DOCG was only produced until 2006, which makes this 1994 vintage a very special rarity. A dark ruby-garnet colour is followed by an intriguing nose of spice box, cedar, cinnamon, red and black fruits, truffle and earthy notes. On the palate, the 1994 is medium to full-bodied, moderately tannic, with sweet ripeness, a firm tannic foundation and a concentrated finish.
