The first sip reveals a silky smooth texture, firm structure and generous full body which is complemented by the intense ripe berry flavours and smoky tobacco notes. Although predominantly made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Bucella also add smaller quantities of Merlot and Petit Verdot to add a touch of softness to the finished blend and the wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months before it is deemed ready for release. The couple fell in love with Napa and Sonoma while on honeymoon and subsequently spent their vacations visiting local wineries before deciding to begin their own project.
