The Portuguese tend to say it is the "burgundy of Portugal"! Surrounded by mountains, the blend on this wine really show the balance of alcohol, concentration of flavours & tannins of this expressive region. Ageing in 50% new French oak barrel & 50% second use, gives it body & structure for a smooth elegance, without becoming too over powering. Touriga Nacional forms the backbone of the wine.
