Merchant's description

Château Canon 2020 is a Right Bank Bordeaux from the Chanel-owned Premier Grand Cru Classé B property Château Canon in St-Émilion. With its modest 18ha planted with 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Franc, Canon produces a deliciously soft, elegant Merlot-dominant Grand Vin typically with excellent ageing potential. A blend of 68% Merlot and 32% Cabernet Franc, the 2020 was Decanter Bordeaux critic Jane Anson`s `Right Bank wine of the vintage`. "Wow. This is really exceptional with super density of fruit that remains clear and agile. Blackberries, currants, violets and spice, as well as some chalk and salt. It really goes on for minutes." James Suckling, 2021
