Château Capbern 2014 is a Left Bank Bordeaux red wine from the Saint-Estèphe appellation. The wine is a blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, reflecting the estate`s gravelly terroir near the Gironde estuary. The 2014 vintage in Saint-Estèphe was particularly successful, producing wines with great volume and a sophisticated tannic structure. The wine shows a smooth, velvety entry that gives way to a more masculine, peppery second half. Aromatics of cassis, incense and graphite are prominent, underpinned by a cooling mineral edge. This is a well-structured, sophisticated Saint-Estèphe with a long, earthy finish.
