Castello di Volpaia Balifico 2020 is a highly regarded `Supertuscan` wine from the renowned Castello di Volpaia estate, located in the historic walled village of Volpaia, within the Chianti Classico zone of Tuscany. Balifico was first produced in 1985 as a Vino da Tavola and later gained IGT status in the early 1990s as the Supertuscan category became recognised. The 2020 vintage for Volpaia wines is noted for producing wines with bright color, good acidity levels without excessive alcohol, and a style that is less concentrated but more elegant compared to some previous years.
