Merchant's description

This Grand Cru is one of Burgundy`s most prized Pinot Noir sites, coming from the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin. Expect deep garnet colour and a bouquet of black cherry, blackberry and warm spice, lifted by subtle oak. The palate is full-bodied and layered, with ripe dark fruit, well-integrated tannins and a long, generous finish. 2009 was a warm, generous vintage, giving wines with early charm as well as genuine depth. Drinking well now, it should continue developing for a decade or more. Try with roast duck or mature Comté.
