Founded in 1865, Camille Giroud is a boutique négociant business based in Beaune. In 2001 the Maison was sold to a group of American investors, and it is currently managed by Carel Voorhuis, who continues to craft seductive and terroir-driven wines. This release comes from Giroud’s south-east facing plot within the Chambertin Grand Cru vineyard. The 2008 is a classy and well-balanced Pinot Noir, showing a lovely maturity. Expect notes of black and red cherry, spices, undergrowth and fresh mushrooms.
