Merchant's description

Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes is a Premier Cru red Burgundy from the Côte de Nuits. Les Charmes is often considered the most representative of the Chambolle style, located on a plateau of thin soil over hard limestone. Barthod’s interpretation in 2012 focuses on elegance and lace-like tannins, achieved through gentle punch-downs and careful oak integration. The 2012 season produced low yields of concentrated fruit with excellent balance. It shows characteristic notes of peony, wild strawberry and a distinct silken mouthfeel that persists on the finish.
