Domaine Rossignol-Trapet are an excellent biodynamic producer based in Gevrey-Chambertin. The domaine flies somewhat under the radar but is producing an array of exceptionally consistent wines renowned for their purity, finesse and longevity. This wine comes from two parcels in Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru – En la Chapelle and Les Gémeaux – which sit just below Clos de Bèze. Though still wonderfully elegant and immensely complex, the greater structure of the 2016 vintage is certainly apparent, suggesting a little longer in the cellar would do no harm.
