Merchant's description
Domaine de Bila-Haut is the superb Côtes-du-Roussillon project of Rhône Valley superstar M. Chapoutier. VIT stands for Visitare Interiore Terrae and is a blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah grown in the gneiss and calcareous clay soils around the town of Latour de France. This is an incredibly rich and full-bodied wine, with masses of deep black fruits laced with more subtle hints of crushed minerals, woodsmoke and dried violets. Just 180 cases were produced in 2012.
