The Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey estate was formed in 2001 when Pierre-Yves Colin and his wife Caroline Morey – both from Burgundy winemaking families – joined forces. Today they produce wines from approximately 13 hectares of vineyards, situated in the villages of Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. This particular release comes from Abbaye de Morgeot, an umbrella term, covering wines produced from either [or both] of the Morgeot or La Chapelle vineyards, just south of Chassagne-Montrachet village. The 2020 vintage is still in its youthful stage and would benefit from a few years of cellaring.
