Merchant's description

Situated 30 kilometres to the west of Cahors, Château de Chambert occupies a prime location between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Philippe Lejeune has been the owner and manager of the estate since 2007, and with the guidance of consultant winemaker Stéphane Derenoncourt, the vineyard has gained notable recognition in France. In 2012, the estate obtained organic certification, and by the end of 2015, it achieved biodynamic certification, solidifying its status as the largest organic and biodynamic estate in the Cahors region. This is the flagship wine of the estate, made from 100% Malbec and aged for 12 months in oak barrels.
