Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. It is recommended to decant it for at least an hour. Acquired by the Cuvelier family in 1920, Chateau Moulin Riche boasts a long tradition dating back to the 19th century. In 1932, during the Classification of Crus Bourgeois, the estate obtained the top recognition of Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Exceptionnel. Since the 1970s, the twenty hectares of vineyards, located in the heart of the Medoc, on slopes of deep gravel and Aeolian sand, have contributed to the blending of the great wine of Leoville Poyferre. The blend of this wine includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, a good amount of Petit Verdot, and traces of Cabernet Franc. In the glass, the wine shows a beautiful garnet red color. Its olfactory profile combines blackcurrant aromas and delicate peppery notes accompanied by a mineral and slightly toasted background. On the palate, it is a rich and round wine, fleshy and fruity. It has good acidity and soft tannins. The finish is long, fine, and persistent. To be fully appreciated, and allow it to release all its fruity fragrance, it is advisable to serve it at a temperature of 16-18 ° C. It goes wonderfully with grilled red meat.
