Product Information Country Lebanon Region Bekka Valley Grape Variety Obaideh & Merwah Vintage 2017 ABV 11.5% Discover the exceptional 2017 vintage of Chateau Musar White, a premium Lebanese white wine crafted from the indigenous Obaideh (60%) and Merwah (40%) grape varietals. Grown on the fertile slopes of Mount Lebanon in the Bekaa Valley, this vintage showcases the unique terroir of Lebanon and centuries of artisanal winemaking tradition. The 2017 season featured abundant rainfall and snowfall early in the year, followed by a mild spring, creating ideal conditions for grapes to develop intense aromas, rich structure, and natural complexity. Despite a late April frost, the careful hand-harvesting of Obaideh grapes on September 19th and Merwah on September 27th, combined with 9 months of fermentation in new French Nevers oak barrels, produced a wine with remarkable depth and elegance. Tasting Notes: Chateau Musar White 2017 pours a pale lemon hue and opens with vibrant aromas of fresh apples, grapefruit, vanilla, hay, and delicate orange blossom. The palate reveals layered flavours of ripe peach, sweet basil, and caramelised tarte tatin, reflecting both the aromatic Merwah and the elegant Obaideh. This Lebanese white wine is perfect for wine collectors and enthusiasts seeking premium aged wines with excellent cellaring potential, capable of ageing gracefully for decades. Serving & Pairing: Decant to enhance its complexity and enjoy with seafood, light poultry dishes, creamy cheeses, or fine Lebanese cuisine. Elevate your wine collection with Chateau Musar White 2017, a true expression of Lebanese terroir, natural vinification, and vintage excellence. Discover our range of Chateau Musar wines.
