In 1847, the company became famous with its Negru de Purcari wine by winning the gold medal first at the agricultural exhibition of Bessarabia and then at the Universal Exposition in Paris. Today, it is known worldwide for its super-premium wines, which have garnered over 200 awards over the centuries at the most prestigious international competitions, and the legendary appreciation at the royal court of Great Britain.
