Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Cuvée Spéciale Vieilles Clairettes Saint Prefert 2012 is a white Clairette from the Southern Rhône. This magnum is a rare expression produced from 100% Clairette vines planted in 1920 on the gravelly soils of Les Serres. It reveals scents of white peach, anise and wet wool, while the palate is textural and saline, displaying the surprising freshness that old-vine Clairette can achieve. Ageing in glass globes and older oak allows the delicate aromatics of the variety to remain front and centre.
