Lucien Le Moine is a small, independent wine merchant founded by Mounir and Rotem Saouma in 1999. They specialize in sourcing top-tier wines from Burgundy and Beaujolais, which they then age in their vaulted cellar in Beaune. There is no winemaking involved as the wines reach them after fermentation. This release comes from Chénas, one of the 10 cru appellations in the Beaujolais region. Along with Moulin-à-Vent, it is one of the most prestigious Beaujolais cru wines, known for its floral and earthy character.
