Merchant's description

Château Cheval Blanc 1967 is a mature Saint-Émilion red drawn from gravel and clay soils on the Pomerol border. Decades of evolution have transformed its fruit into layered notes of dried plum, cedar and tobacco leaf, with faint traces of truffle and leaf litter. The palate is silken, the structure gently eroded yet still coherent, acidity now the defining spine. Aromas rise gradually rather than forcefully, carried by subtle volatile lift. The finish is savoury and persistent, a quiet expression of balance shaped by time rather than power.
