Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet 2000 is a Grand Cru white Burgundy from the climat of Chevalier-Montrachet in the Puligny-Montrachet commune of the Côte de Beaune. Domaine Leflaive Grands Crus can be powerful yet austere when young and often require 10 to 15 years of ageing to show their true colours. Leflaive has been certified biodynamic since 1997. "Perhaps one of the finest bottles tasted, the 2000 Chevalier Montrachet from Anne-Claude has a succinct, razor-sharp bouquet of wet limestone, lemon thyme, linden and chalk that is a thrill from start to finish. The palate displays wonderful balance. such poise and sophistication here, the precision giving way to surprising fatness on the mid-palate and a subtle honeyed tincture towards the consummate finish. This is drinking absolutely perfectly now, but it will continue giving pleasure over the next decade." Wine Advocate, 2014
