Château de Coulaine Chinon La Diablesse 2020 is a single-vineyard red wine produced from 100% Cabernet Franc in the Chinon appellation of the Loire Valley. The grapes are sourced from a small certified-organic plot of old-vine Cabernet Franc in the prized Les Picasses vineyard—a north-exposed site where clay-limestone soil predominates. Château de Coulaine is an estate whose history can be traced back to the 14th century. Etienne de Bonnaventure has managed the property since 1988. La Diablesse is made with minimal intervention in the winery. spontaneous fermentation in cement tanks and ageing in neutral oak barrels for 12 months before the wine is bottled, unfined and unfiltered, with minimal sulphur added.
