Encompassing 41 hectares of vineyards in the northeastern part of Pauillac, Château Clerc Milon occupies a position between the Mouton Rothschild and Lafite Rothschild estates, situated atop a crest with a commanding view of the Gironde estuary. The soil composition consists of sandy clay overlaying a base of clay-limestone, and the gentle slope aids in effective drainage. This release is the 1995 vintage of its Grand Vin, a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 14% Cabernet Franc. Expect notes of blueberries, plums, cedar and a hint of smoke.
