Château Climens 2006 is a sweet wine from the Barsac appellation made entirely from Sémillon. The 2006 vintage saw a successful development of botrytis which concentrated the sugars and acids within the grapes resulting in intense honey and dried apricot flavours. Climens is unique for its iron-rich red sands which impart a vibrant acidity that prevents the high sugar content from feeling heavy. This half-bottle is at a mature stage of development where the bright primary fruit has evolved into more complex notes of beeswax and orange marmalade.
