Domaine Trimbach Clos St Hune Riesling 2008 is a single-vineyard dry Riesling from the Alsace region of northern France. Located in the village of Ribeauvillé, Trimbach is one of the most historic winemaking families in Alsace. The estate is now run by the 12th generation of the family, Pierre and Jean. Trimbach is renowned for its restrained, energetic style of Alsatian white wine (`Protestant` rather than `Catholic` is how the family would describe it). In particular the family`s Rieslings possess a laser-like acidity and restrained complexity which may only be revealed slowly over many years of bottle age. "A classic Alsace Riesling in a steely style, yet shows lovely integration and accessibility, with the dense midpalate and creamy texture carrying flavors of white peach, crushed pine and beeswax. A pronounced streak of petrol-accented minerality echoes on the long, focused finish." Wine Spectator, 2017
