Domaine Georges Vernay Condrieu Chailles de l`Enfer 2014 is a full-bodied white wine from the Condrieu appellation of the northern Rhône Valley. white wine produced from Viognier grapes in the Condrieu appellation of the northern Rhône Valley. Georges Vernay is a name synonymous with Condrieu and produces some of the very finest examples. Coteau de Vernon was first created by Georges` father, Francis, and is the pinnacle of the Domaine`s output from this appellation. This single-vineyard cuvée comes from a 2ha plot of old vines growing on biotite granite soil in Condrieu. The vines are organically cultivated. "Noticeably richer and more textured, with buttered citrus, honeysuckle, crushed rock, brioche and sautéed peach notes, the 2014 Condrieu les Chailles de L`Enfer is a rich, medium to full-bodied, impeccably-balanced effort that has more than a passing resemblance to its bigger brother, the Coteaux du Vernon."
