Cos D`Estournel 2005 is a full-bodied, Cabernet Sauvignon-based red wine from the Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux. The 2005 release from Cos d’Estournel is an exceptional wine now beginning to really hit its stride. Composed of an unusually high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon (78%) with lesser parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc, it is immensely concentrated, deep and complex. With time it unfurls to reveal beautiful notes of cassis, black cherry, spring flowers, liquorice, cedar, tobacco and crushed stones. Decanting is strongly recommended. Available here in magnum format.
