Merchant's description
Ferraton`s L`Eglantine is a fruit-driven expression of Côte-Rôtie, made from Syrah grown on the appellation`s steep granite terraces and raised with a light touch of oak to preserve freshness. The 2007 vintage was a cooler, more classic year in the Northern Rhône, giving a wine of medium body rather than power. Expect violet, black olive and cracked pepper aromas, with silky red and black fruit on the palate. Fully mature now; drink with roast lamb or duck.
