Merchant's description

Guigal is arguably the most renowned producer in Côte Rôtie and stands as one of the premier names in the Rhône Valley. Established in 1946 by Etienne Guigal, the estate was at the forefront of the concept of single-vineyard Côte Rôtie wines. His three most famous Syrah expression, La Landonne, La Mouline, and La Turque, are currently among the world`s most highly sought-after wines. The 2004 La Mouline reveals concentrated aromas of black cherries, raspberries, earthiness, smoky bacon, and subtle spices with a touch of mocha. On the palate, it is a full-bodied wine, boasting smoky, earthy, and dried fruit notes. Additional nuances of black olives and velvety, well-structured tannins contribute to a prolonged finish.
